@wearebuild have designed a nice limited-edition box set of definitive editions of Helvetica, Objectified, and Urbanized (on DVD or Blu-ray disc) in a specially designed slipcover package, with a hardbound art book featuring photos and notes on the making of the three films, guest contributors, and more. Plus some extra surprise goodies. Each copy signed by director Gary Hustwit.

Here is a peek at our new screen-print ‘Pixel’ specially created for Editions of 100. Its a SRA2 warm red silkscreen onto 225gsm Bright white Kaskad showing the humble pixel at various resolutions from 1 / 2 / 8 / 32 / 128 / 256 / 512 / 2048 . These will be limited to 100 numbered editions and is currently in production so will be available soon.

Our friend Lorna Freytag studied at Grays school of Art in Aberdeen. After graduating, she lived and worked as a photographers assistant in Dubai then New York. Several years later, she moved to Sydney and then onto London where she worked on commercial projects whilst developing her own private portrait business, and illustrating her first children’s book, Wild Child which is out now. Freytag has worked for publications such as Junior, Collezioni Bambini and Studio Bambini as well as Harrods and several exclusive children’s boutiques. She now lives in Glasgow and works internationally.

In an effort to bring their Exclusive Faces range to a larger audience, HypeForType approached graphic designer Ryan Atkinson to produce their first magazine release Typographic Revolt. The brief was to produce a 16 page A2 magazine with a twist. Instead of following the traditional convention, Ryan designed a quick read through A2 magazine which also doubles up as a set of 4 Exclusive Faces posters. Each page folds out to create a double sided poster perfect for your studio or home wall space. Typographic Revolt is printed as a limited litho run on 90gsm wood free paper, giving everything a premium newspaper feel which absorbs the inks to create a beautiful desaturated look and feel. HandpaintedType is a project that is dedicated to preserving the typographic practice of street painters around India. These painters, with the advent of local DTP (Desktop Publishers) shops, are rapidly going out of business with many of them switching to the quicker, cheaper but uglier vinyls. Many painters have given up their practice altogether.

The project involves documenting the typefaces of road side painters across India and digitizing it so that it serves as a resource for present and future generations. Lovely stuff spotted via @StudioRydo
