Maple Syrup never looked so good. Another gorgeous product design and package from the purveyor of loveliness that is Best Made. Never thought an axe could be so beautiful.

The new low carbon D&AD Annual Looks like the first I would actually like to take a real good look at. Refreshing to see that it has not become a self indulgent plaything for the designer. D&AD Annuals are about celebrating and showcasing the best of design and advertising. In my opinion the annual itself should merely facilitate the showcase of this work in a clean, organised way rather than trying to grab the attention itself. Harry Pearce and the team look to have done an excellent job in both design and choice of materials.

In my opinion the annual itself should merely facilitate the showcase of this work in a clean, organised way rather than trying to grab the attention itself. Harry Pearce and the team look to have done an excellent job in both design and choice of materials.

Check out these cool cabinets made by Denmark-based Søren Rose Studio.

The first incarnation of the line was created in 2008, utilizing recycled gym floorboards. Søren Rose Studio paired the familiar graphic lines of each board with a simple silhouette, creating a collection of unique modern pieces that pay homage to the materials’ original use.

Today, while mass-produced, the pieces continue to implement eco-friendly materials such as renewable pine, controlled Danish oak and water-based fixatives and varnishes. Gymnasium is sold globally by Mater and crafted by Denmark’s oldest cabinetmakers, Bruno Hansen Company.
